Ok. Honest review. I stumbled across this via instagram and I decided to give it shot. I originally purchased the electronic version before a hard copy was available. It has been SUCH an incredible resource for our family that I ran to buy a hard copy and the second book as well. Our girls are neurodivergent and these books have been, hands down, one of the ABSOLUTE BEST resources for navigating both everyday and tricky social situations. The stories are short and easy to digest, for a wide age-range (our girls range from 5-9 but I can really see older benefitting as well). They’re well thought out, relatable scenarios with actionable steps (listed at the end of each story) to help navigate real-world situations. I kid you not - I’ve already seen a noticeable growth in our girls’ confidence and we haven’t even finished yet. I couldn’t be happier to have stumbled upon such a gem of a resource and I look forward to adding any additional books to our home library. Believe me when I tell you - these are worth their weight in gold for children of ALL neurotypes navigating the complexities of adolescence.

My 6 year old son loves reading these stories each night! He even has a chat about each story at the end I am so happy I purchased this book!

My daughters (7 and 9) request a story every night! I have even seen these refer to certain stories during difficult moments.

I love the messaging in these stories. It's all totally relative to my 7 year old. He gets to learn valuable life lessons at his own pace.

Fantastic, relatable stories!

So far we are really enjoying the stories. My kids are engaged and are learning from these stories. They ask a lot of questions because they are so interested in what we are reading.

I love this book. I read it with my 6 year old and 10 year old sons every night and they are gripped to every story as they can relate to most stories. Each story depicts real everyday life scenarios for our kids which give advice on how to face these everyday issues. I couldn't recommend this book enough for any school going children. I have told all my friends about it. My boys look forward to reading this book now everynight which is a big change from their usual footy card swapping before bed.

My 11 year old daughter has been reading particular stories that reflect what she’s experiencing or worried about that day. She said ‘mummy this character is going through the same things I am so I read the stories for ideas.’ This has been such a helpful support for her.

Bought this for my little one who was having a tough time at school and it has really transformed how he thinks about himself. Really accessible, educational and engaging without being patronising. Highly recommend!

My Secret Playbook of Life for Kids

I am unable to access my digital files. I did make a mistake on my order by requesting a digital format. I purchased this for my daughter a mom of 2 and I actually wanted it in a hard computer to read. Is it possible that you can send me a hard copy book so I came give it to my daughter. My daughter reminds to read one of the stories each night if I forget! Some parts make her giggle and I think its helping her look at things from a more neutral perspective. Havent gotten into the rest of the bundle tet but looking forward to it.

My daughter (7) has enjoyed reading about complicated emotional and relational dynamics before she actually experiences them. It has given her appropriate vocab to use about naming complex feelings and what is healthy or unhealthy ways to respond . We have enjoyed reading this together and asking questions.

My son loved this book. I also highly recommend it to parents.

My 12 year old daughter DEVOURED this book in one afternoon. My 9 year old son immediately took it and stayed up late finishing it! Such an easy yet applicable read for kids. I loved how each story had application and led kids to think about their responses. I will be recommending this book to every parent I know!

My daughter loved the book!!! She’s 7 and it felt very relatable for her! She really enjoyed the silly/ funny parts of some stories, it helped her connect with them better. She finished the book super fast but I’m still planning to read it with her again and go back to some stories since it’s very helpful as a mom to start conversation about difficult life situations/subjects.

I cannot say enough about how useful and beneficial this week. The specific stories in the lessons that they provide have been wonderful in teaching our children to stay true to themselves and be confident in themselves. It's hard to think of these types of examples on the fly, and they set them up as a little story in each lesson. I highly recommend this!

This book is absolutely incredible! My son was so hooked that he read 77 pages on the very first day, which is a record for him. It is engaging, easy to follow, and has already given him a noticeable boost in confidence. It's rare to find something that captures his attention this quickly and keeps him reading for hours. I highly recommend this for any parent. Truly a fantastic find!
